Based on work, I’m an artist, analyst, strategist, and manager. Based on everything else, I’m anything else. I've always been into drawing. I wandered in social media managing at Wieden+Kennedy, account executing at BBDO, and social data analyzing at Translation for a while then took a much needed break. For 3 months I made art and learned to trust myself and be more intentional with the work I was putting into the world. The shedding of my practical, fear-driven shell led me to listen to the frequencies that often speak in whispers. Those sounds pointed me to HEADS Music, where I became Wyclef Jean's creative director and learned art could be a career.
Now, let's point out the elephant in the room here. I have big calves. It's okay, let's talk about it. Football (/soccer) is how they got on my body. Since being 5 I've knocked a ball about, with the guidance of the famous Ryan Giggs and the unknown talent cousin Nathan. I was plucked from the bunch for a college team and graduated scott free of debt and Sally Mae. That's huge for an immigrant family (there was honestly no other way it was happening).
But I'm here. I was the first to matriculate in my family and fly from the nest. I moved on my own from Florida to Mississippi to Portland to Brooklyn. Then Brooklyn became home. I realized biking around the city is the best form of transportation for me and that friends are the family you get to choose. I made things and I continue to make things. I'm learning and falling and growing and helping. Forever. Thank you for taking a moment to see me.
